This film was to follow a young boy who is separated from his father during World War 2. The boy discovers the Island of Sodor where he meets Thomas the Tank Engine and ventures to find his father the franchise (following "Thomas and the Magic Railroad" in 2000) and was constantly being pushed back due to multiple production problems and sold its ownership to Mattel.
