Synopsis

Follows Rupert Campbell-Black and Tony Baddingham as they see their long-running rivalry come to an end. Coincidentally, Aidan Turner had previously filmed at Chavenage House (a rival monastery). The same filming location was also used to portray Trenwith House in the 2015 BBC TV adaptation of Poldark. I laugh at some of the reviews, clearly from readers who take themselves too seriously. This is a Jilly Cooper adaptation. It’s not a series to be judged intellectually or morally. It’s a lot of fun. Amazing acting roles. Yes, RCB’s hair and eyes are the wrong color. As is Taggies hair. But they work. Somehow.RCB will disappoint some for this reason. But Alex Hassell captures everything else about him. Danny Dyer is perfect. David Tennant is GREAT as always. And Aidan Turner is just wonderful, if a little young, to play Declan. Falters in the final third. But yes. It’s super fun. I watched everything at once.
