Synopsis
A farming family in Montana is confronted by others encroaching on their land. Forrie J. Smith, who plays Lloyd, is an expert in the world of rodeo. John Dutton (Kevin Costner) often seems to “forget” his Montana accent and reverts to the SoCal voice he normally uses. Featured in WatchMojo: Top 10 Off-The-Radar Summer TV Shows (2018). I live in Darby, Montana, where most of this movie is shot – just yesterday they shot right across the street from me in a field with some horses and cattle. I think the series is a pretty solid story and niche where Costner does his best. One thing I noticed about the first season, given my Native American side, is that it leaves you wondering who the good guys are and the bad guys – maybe both sides are both good and bad. I’ll admit it’s nice to see them filming while I’m here, the farm is right down the road from my house and I pass by almost every day on my way to fish the Bitterroot River.
