There’s a scene in an early episode where Thornton’s character goes on a long rant about the need for oil in all areas of our lives, which definitely sounds like a scripted commercial for the oil industry, but there’s nothing to suggest it’s untrue.

Overall, I think it’s going to be a great show, the writing is great, the acting is great, and the characters are very human
