Within 5 minutes of the first episode I was hooked
When I first saw the release of Rivals, I let out a little yelp of excitement. I was nervous too ~ I was a fan of the books.
The clothes, the make-up, the music ~ what a soundtrack
Each episode is tightly paced, there are no moments where you get bored or feel drained, as can often be the case in many of these mini-series. The characters are all unique and well-played, the acting and casting are fabulous.
This series is fun, bold, colorful and nostalgic
I understand the disappointment of changing Rupert’s ‘look’, but it really isn’t a big deal, or in my opinion has any lasting impact. It doesn’t disappoint at all and we can take a moment to appreciate David Tennent who once again plays the “bad guy” perfectly.
